Sunday,Jan 5 2003,Coach & Horse`s.....Daventry
Over the xmas holiday Phil had persueded Paul to dip his toe in the water and have a practice with us.
Phil did`nt want to upset his new band mate`s and blatantly steal Paul so he was very careful about how he approached things.

We arranged a Sunday evening meeting in the Coach (deja vu)

Immediatly we hit it off.Paul had vast experience and was very keen.
Like Phil,he was fed up with the other band and wanted to try us out.
The vibe was back.
Also we heard about a gig at the Maltster`s at the end of January from our stand in drummer Jason.
We all agreed it would be something to aim for...provided our first rehearsal worked out ok

Wed 8th Jan 2003,Rehearsal,Daventry Day Center
The first rehearsal was eagerly anticipated by all
The night was a success.Paul fitted in straight away...his playing was awesome and he picked up the songs instantly....all nite me,Kev and Phil were smiling
Why didn`t we know this guy 2 and a half years ago years ago?
Paul knew he had to join.It was 10 times better than his old band. The sound was right and we suited each other. The gods smiled down on us a second time

Mad Dog McHat on the job
The next day phil booked the gig and we were back on the road
A drummer, new enthusisum, new outlook and no friction...it was a breath of fresh air.

Paul and Phil received some stick from their old band mates, but the hassle was worth it.Catch 23 was a force to be reckoned with again and nothing was gonna stand in our way
More rehearing followed, including a Sunday, gearing up for the gig

Dawson...April 2004...What you looking at???
Here`s where the new bit starts.
Gotta do some research and try to remember what happened from this point until now.
Lacking in notes and with even less brain cells intact than this time last year.
I`ll see what i can do....Watch this space...arse
Complete Gig History 2003
With Paul onboard we were soon firing on all cylinders and went on to play more gig`s this year than we did during our first 2 years together.
Not bad considering we had nearly split up at the end of 2002.
My records are not 100% for this year at the min due to computer crashes and brain damage.
There was a gig at Weedon village hall with our old friend Jason,on drums,in June/July and the famous August bank holiday gig on a 40 footer at the Cross Tree Inn
